Today's
health care environment is moving at an increasingly rapid pace, making it
difficult to stay abreast of the dramatic changes.
While advocating for District hospitals, the District of Columbia
Hospital Association (DCHA) keeps in step to meet the challenges.
As a link between member hospitals and the business community, DCHA can
help organizations remain up-to-date about health care issues and in tune with
the needs of clients and colleagues in the health care field. As
a DCHA Associate Member, an organization can increase its visibility with the
District's top health care leaders, who are actively involved in DCHA.
The Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of each hospital are significant
participants in all Association projects and events.
Organizations can demonstrate strong support of hospitals and health
care clients through interaction with the CEOs and other senior staff of our
member hospitals. When
DCHA was formed in 1978, its business was representation and advocacy for its
member hospitals. Today that is still DCHA’s primary mission, but its role
has grown to include a wide range of hospital and health related services.
As DCHA has expanded, so has the membership. In addition to 18 hospitals, DCHA now enjoys the support of a growing number of law firms, accounting firms, consulting firms, insurers and other types of businesses.
